The Department of Computer Science at the College of Education at the University of Kufa held a panel discussion entitled Genetic Algorithms, with the aim of identifying genetic algorithms as a kind of optimization algorithm inspired by the principles of natural selection and genetics, which included a lecture by Dr. Muhammad Hussein Naji in which he talked about the main idea behind the genetic algorithm, which is simulation The process of natural selection to find the best solution to a problem, and the lecturer explained that the algorithm begins with a set of candidate solutions that are represented as strings of numbers or binary numbers (genes), and these solutions are evaluated using the fitness function, which measures the quality of each solution in solving the problem.
