The Faculty of Education at Kufa University holds the 1st honoring ceremony for the pioneers of education in Najaf Province
Faculty of Education/ Information Section … Among the activities of the celebration of the year 1440 AH, the year of the Commander of Believers (a.s.), and under the auspices and in the presence of the rector of the University of Kufa, Prof. Dr Muhsin al-Dhalimi, and under the supervision of the dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr Ali Khdhayir Hejji, the Faculty of Education has held the first honoring ceremony of the pioneers of education in Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf Province with the presence of official, academic and educational personalities. The celebration included delivering speeches and poems and distributing certificates of appreciation and shields of educational creativity to the pioneered. In his speech, al-Dhalimi said that the teacher and the lecturer at the university are the ones who grant knowledge as well as morals so as to produce successive generations of qualified specialists serving their country. Al-Dhalimi added that the teaching profession is a sublime and well-known occupation of humanity for its role in giving enlightenment and knowledge. Also, al-Dhalimi stressed that the teachers were and still are an example of sincerity and love for humanity and the homeland, they are the candles that burn every day to enlighten the path of science and knowledge. In turn, Prof. Dr Ali Khdhayir Hejji, dean of the faculty, mentioned that the University of Kufa today endeavours to achieve its precise scientific messages basing on two principles: the message of humanity and openness to civil society and that of entering the classifications of international universities through scientific researches. He ascertains that the Faculty of Education attempts to take care of the pioneered who allocated their life to create a conscious and educated generation. He thanked and appreciated the efforts of all those who supported this celebration. For her part, the manager of the Directorate of Education in Najaf Province and via a word delivered by her assistant, Mr Merdan al-Bderi, appraised Kufa University’s prestigious remembrance of the distinctive pioneers, which coincided with the feast of the teacher, and considered the first of its kind. Also, she valuated the scientific and professional standard of the University of Kufa and its prominent role in graduating educated and conscious generations.
