A new publication entitled “The Orientalists’ Lingual Efforts in Arabic” is issued at the Faculty of Education/ Kufa University
Faculty of Education/ Information Section … Prof. Dr Faris al-Sultani, head of the Dept of Quran Science and Islamic Education at the Faculty of Education/ University of Kufa, has recently published a new book entitled “The Orientalists’ Lingual Efforts in Arabic”. Al-Sultani mentioned that the book dealt with the Semitic languages, their characteristics, division, history, Semitic languages’ diagram, the most important Semitic accents and the motherland of Semitic peoples. He added that the publication comprised three chapters. The first dealt with the phonetic material and the extent of development that occurred in this field thanks to the use of modern machines which revealed many hidden things. The second discussed the morphological material including the topics of derivation and the opinions of orientalists about the origin of the morpheme, whether it is duo or trio. The third chapter explained the grammatical material and the emergence of Arabs’ grammar lesson and the conflicting opinions afterwards.
