It was attended by the Dean of the faculty, Prof. Dr Ali Khdhayir Hejji, and a number of academic personalities, faculty lecturers and students. It comprised a lecture delivered by the visitor Prof. Dr Hasan al-Blushi, in which he spoke about the axis of Arab atheism: science, morals, politics and their relationship to religion, the axis of whether atheism is a phenomenon and the axis of why science does not lead to atheism. Al-Blushi explained three myths about the conflict between science and religion: the first is that religion is against science, the second is that the majority of scientific communities or scientists are atheists and the third is that the science was, still is and will lead necessarily to secularism. Al-Blushi clarified the most important articles about atheism by Richard Dawkins, Stephen Hawking, Francis Crick and others.
