A Symposium at the Faculty of Education/ Kufa University about the Comprehensive Method of Learning
Faculty of Education/ Information Section … The Department of English at the Faculty of Education/ University of Kufa has held a scientific symposium on the comprehensive method of learning. It was attended by a number of the faculty lecturers. It included a lecture delivered by Asst Lect Hayder al-Mensoori in which he showed the principles of one of the modern trends that were established and applied in the United States of America, known as the Comprehensive Method of Learning. Al-Mensoori explained that this method is based on the various means of representing information, expressing what is learned and applying it in accordance with the correlation of these levels with the parts of the human brain represented by the networks of recognition, strategy, emotion and affection. In turn, Dr. Wiam al-Bayyati, head of the department, confirmed that the symposium aims to create equal opportunities for all students at different cultural and economic levels or ethnic backgrounds and to lead them to master the skills of critical thinking, mathematical thinking, reading and English language skills reaching the level of professionalism when graduating from the preparatory stage.
