Faculty of Education/ Information Section … The Faculty of Education at the University of Kufa has organized a workshop entitled “Internet of Things”. It was attended by the dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. Ali Khdhayir Hejji and a number of lecturers, researchers and students. It included a lecture delivered by Dr. Nidhal Al-Abadi in which he talked about the concept Internet of Things and its applications, the future of this technology, its development during the previous period and its most prominent future expectations. Al-Abadi said that Internet of Things means the new generation of the Internet (the network) which allows understanding between the devices interconnected with each other via the Internet Protocol. These devices include tools, sensors, various artificial intelligence tools, etc. He pointed out that this definition goes beyond the traditional concept of connecting people with computers and smartphones through a single global network via the known traditional Internet Protocol. He asserted that what distinguishes the Internet of Things is that it enables man to be freed from the place, i.e., the person can control the tools without being existed in a specific place to deal with a particular device.
