Al-Hussain (a.s.), a Bestowal and Refusal

Faculty of Education Holds a Symposium Entitled “Al-Hussain (a.s.), a Bestowal and Refusal” Faculty of Education/ Information Section … Under the auspices of and in the presence of both the president of the University of Kufa, Prof. Dr. Muhsin Al-Dhalimi and the dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. Ali Khdhayir Hejji and the attendance of a number of other deans, researchers, academics, lecturers and students, the Faculty of Education holds its scientific symposium entitled, “Al-Hussain (a.s.), a Bestowal and Refusal”. Al-Hejji mentions that the symposium is held under the slogan, “Let’s Revive Imam Hussain’s Revolution”. It aims at enhancing religious values of students and acquainting them with the leading characteristics of Imam Hussain (a.s.) and the targets of Al-Arbaaeen March as well as the goals of the revolution itself and the relationship between the university youth and the aspects of the March. Al-Hejji adds that the symposium comprises a lecture delivered by Sheikh Hussain Al-Yaseen, the representative of the religious authority in the holy city of Al-Kadhimiya. It is entitled “University Youth and Al-Arbaaeen Visit”. The lecture discusses some of the social effects of worship and Al-Arbaaeen Visit, the interest in academic attainment and professionalism in handling a lot of things. Also, Al-Hejji shows that the lecture focuses on what is required by the university youth. They are supposed to present their intellectual products, spread religious awareness and not limit themselves to the visitors’ service. The president of the university rounds off the symposium by awarding the lecturer a painting done by the students in the Dept. of Art Education in the faculty
