The Department of Mathematics at the College of Education Holds a Scientific Workshop Entitled “The Role of Mathematical Models in the Study of Epidemics”
College of Education / Information Section…….The Department of Mathematics at the College of Education held an online scientific workshop via Google Meet Platform about the role of mathematical models in the study of epidemics.
The workshop included a lecture delivered by professor at the college Dr. Inas Yahia. She touched upon the importance of mathematical models in various science fields and the way it is designed. In addition to ideas and basic assumptions for an epidemiological mathematical model.
The workshop demonstrated types of epidemiological models and how to choose the appropriate model and work to design a system of equations and find the appropriate balance points and reach a decision on the effectiveness of the mechanism used to confront the epidemic and limit its spread.
It is worth mentioning that the workshop had a wide number of participants from Iraqi and Arab universities.
