Faculty of Education participates in the regular meeting of the Committee for the Welfare of Children in Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf
Faculty of Education/ Information Section … A delegation from the Faculty of Education/ University of Kufa, including Dr Nidhal al-Abadi and Dr Amel al-Hussaini, has participated in the regular meeting of the Committee for the Welfare of Children in A-Najaf Al-Ashraf. The meeting discussed the proposal to establish another governmental maternity and children hospital because of the inability of Al-Zahraa Teaching Hospital to meet the needs of the province in the medical field as a result of receiving patients from inside and outside the province. The meeting dealt with the project of the Holy Quran for the Deaf and Dumb, which was carried out by a team headed by Dr Nidhal al-Abadi and the extent of its need for technical staff to convert it from Windows to Android. During the meeting, al-Abadi said that such educational programmes could be developed in the future to make deaf and dumb children access to school with their peers by turning the teacher’s voice into signs and texts.
