Ethics of the Profession

The Faculty of Education/ University of Kufa holds an interactive workshop about the mental and psychological basis of the ethics of the profession
    Faculty of Education/ Information Section … The Faculty of Education/ University of Kufa has organized an interactive workshop about the mental and psychological basis of the ethics of the profession. It was attended by a number of civil servants of the departments of al-Najaf Province. The workshop aims at developing the belief of participants in the importance of moral commitment and the development of the skills of moral judgement, and motivating willingness to commit to ethical work especially in general life situations. In the workshop, Dr Fadhil al-Mayyali delivered a lecture in which he showed that the ethics is a set of virtues and values achieving the highest standards required in the professional, social and specialized performance and in the methods of dealing with others, noting that the moral obligation results from the integration of the individual’s several mental and psychological rules including the subjective (utilitarian) entrance based on individual self-interest, the social input based on social custom and the emotional entrance determined by specific sensibilities and emotions limiting his own emotional experience.
