William Golding’s Attitudes

An interactive workshop at the Faculty of Education/ University of Kufa entitled “A Study of William Golding’s Attitudes in his novel The Lord of the Flies”
    Faculty of Education/ Information Section … The Department of English at the Faculty of Education/ University of Kufa has held an interactive workshop entitled “A Study of William Golding’s Attitudes in his novel The Lord of the Flies” in the presence of a number of faculty lecturers. It included a lecture delivered by Lect. Wiam al-Khafaji in which he showed the images of conflict between good and evil through three subjects. The first deals with the metaphor of religious stories mentioned in the heavenly Books. The second was an applicative study of Freud’s theory of psychoanalysis. The third embodies the conflict between the capitalist and socialist forces after the Second World War. Al-Khafaji pointed out that the heroes of this novel are children who are only 12 years old, but it charted the lines of global conflict to arrive at authority and sources of power.
